I feel that Howard Kelly would be the best addition to the Onalaska Town Board. Communication with residents and willingness to research information is key to making decisions that affect all residents in the town of Onalaska. It is clear that Howard Kelly has a considerable advantage in both areas.

Last Friday’s issue of the Holmen Courier and the Onalaska Community Life contained answers to an Onalaska Town Board questionnaire sent to Howard Kelly and his opponent. Only Kelly chose to return a response to the questions provided.

Kelly’s answers reveal an individual who is willing to do research. He is willing to ask questions of appropriate professionals when necessary to make the best decisions for all residents of the town of Onalaska.

In addition, I believe Vicki Burke is the best choice for La Crosse County Board.

Burke has an extensive understanding of environmental, development, safety and financial issues facing her district. She uses that knowledge to work for what is best for all residents of her district.

Last Sunday’s La Crosse Tribune contained 12 questions for Burke and her opponent. Only Burke chose to return answers to the questions provided.

Burke goes out of her way to encourage communication with residents. Whenever I have had a question for her regarding the community, through e-mail, telephone or in person, she has provided prompt accurate answers based on facts rather than just being based on personal opinion.
