To the citizens of Onalaska:

You have been hearing and reading about the great decision maker a candidate for mayor is. He has been with many great companies and educational establishment in a decision-making position.

Yet, at a council meeting he will not even second a motion for the committee that he sits on. He will be at the committee meeting, hear all the pros and cons and when at the council he won’t second the motion.

From past experience, the mayor must be in a position to make a decision on the spot. I would hate like the devil for him to deliberate for a week on a life-and-death situation.

Vote for a man who can and will be willing to stand up to this task. A man who can hear, listen and take the right action.

Vote Bob Muth for mayor on April 1.

" Seconding a motion typically means you agree that it be put forward for discussion. And if you don't feel that way it is your duty to be quiet and not second. I agree, what is the point of this letter other than adding a negative element to an otherwise polite race? Unless the purpose is to showcase the author's complete lack of political knowledge? Well then, well done! "

" Clarence, Clarence, Clarence. Seconding a motion? It is rarely he who speaks most often who has the greatest understanding. Good leaders will intervene only when they feel their involvement is an imperative. Your point is lost on me. "
