Gospel choir continues spring concerts

The Coulee Region Gospel Choir has two performances of its spring concert, “Redeemed,” coming up, including the following:

  • April 27, 8:30 a.m., Trinity Lutheran Church, Charles and Sill streets, La Crosse

  • April 27, 6 p.m., Bethany Evangelical Free Church, 3936 Hwy. B, La Crosse.

    OUMC to serve chickencue on Sunday

    A chickencue will be served from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at Onalaska United Methodist Churh, 212 Fourth Ave. N. Cost is $7.50 in advance or $8 at the door, with proceeds benefitting the church’s music ministry. For more information, call the church office at 783-3380.

    Bishop candidate forums planned for April

    A series of bishop candidate forums for the ELCA’s La Crosse Synod are planned during April. Here are the scheduled forums:

  • Saturday, April 19, 9:30 a.m., Bethany, Mauston

  • Saturday, April 19, 2:30 p.m., Our Savior’s, Westby

  • Sunday, April 20, 2:30 p.m., Zion, Galesville

  • Monday, April 21, 7 p.m., First Lutheran, Onalaska

    North Presbyterian marks confirmation

    North Presbyterian Church in La Crosse will celebrate the confirmation of the following youths on Sunday April 20, at the 10 a.m. worship service at 1327 N. Salem Road: Jeana Conder, Grant Soper, Allie Schulz, Andrew Ernst, Erik Onsrud, Will Onsrud, Jessica McWain, Grace Onsrud, Ben Skogen, Brandon Hanabarger, Emma Sierp, Steven Christiansen and Allie Hauser

    Volunteer Corps seeks participants

    Participants are sought for Lutheran Volunteer Corps, a full-time program that offers people a one-year opportunity for spiritual and personal exploration while working for social justice, living in intentional community and simplifying their lifestyles.

    Volunteers are matched with nonprofit organizations in Baltimore, Md.; Wilmington, Del.; Washington, D.C.; Chicago; Milwaukee; Minneapolis-St. Paul; Seattle and Tacoma, Wash.; and the San Francisco Bay Area in California.
