The following log is based on reports from the Holmen and Onalaska police and fire departments.

Onalaska Police Department

Monday, April 21

8:10 p.m. — A 43-year-old woman reported her car was damaged while parked on the 2200 block of East Avenue North. Someone smashed in a small window on the passenger side of the car.

Wednesday, April 23

1:15 a.m. — A 21-year-old man was arrested on the 800 block of Redwood for possession of 1.3 grams of marijuana. He also was wanted on a $5,100 bond for not paying child support.

2:21 a.m. — A 43-year-old man was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct for harassing his wife at work on South Kinney Coulee Road.

7:16 a.m. — A fourth-grade teacher at Irving Pertzsch Elementary reported someone had tipped over the cage used to collect aluminum cans for recycling and stolen the cans. The value of the cans was about $300.

1:59 p.m. — A 16-year-old girl reported her bicycle was stolen while it was parked outside her residence on the 100 block of Ninth Avenue South.

3:07 p.m. — A 43-year-old La Crosse man was arrested for disorderly conduct by phone for threatening to kill everyone at the Coulee Region Humane Society on Critter Court. He said the Humane Society had euthanized his dog without telling him.

Friday, April 25

8:46 a.m. — An employee at the dental clinic on the 1000 block of Main Street reported the front door to the business had been shot with a BB gun sometime between 5:30 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday. The shot caused the front window on an insulated door to shatter.

3 p.m. — A 16-year-old Holmen High School boy reported his wallet stolen while he was at the YMCA.

Saturday, April 26

4:36 a.m. — A 37-year-old New Lisbon man was arrested for attempting to defraud a cab driver of a $22 fare. He told the cab driver he needed to go into the house to get money. He circled around behind the house out of sight and did not return. The cab driver positively identified him from a police photo and police tracked him down. He also committed two counts of bailjumping because he was at a location that violated bond requirements when police found him on the 700 block of Second Avenue North, Onalaska.

8 a.m. — A 48-year-old woman reported someone had broken into her car while it was parked overnight on the 900 block of Eighth Avenue North. She thought the only thing missing was a baggie with five or six old silver dollars in it. A 19-year-old man at the same residence also reported someone had entered his car and stolen the stereo system.

9:39 a.m. — A 48-year-old man on the 1500 block of Cliffview Drive reported someone had entered his vehicle while it was parked overnight and stole some change and broke the lid of the center console.

7:03 p.m. — A 41-year-old man reported someone had damaged his car while it was parked in the Wal-Mart parking lot. The driver’s door mirror had been broken off. There were no suspects, but Wal-Mart was reviewing security tapes.

Sunday, April 27

3:11 a.m. — Two girls were arrested for underage drinking at the Comfort Inn. An 18-year-old girl was arrested for underage drinking and domestic battery for hitting and scratching her sister. The sister was taken to the hospital, treated and released to the officers who arrested her for underage drinking as well. They were both from Colorado.

11:54 a.m. — The owner of the Decorum on the 400 block of Sand Lake Road reported someone had shot the door to the business with a green paintball. He also reported the same thing had happened on Tuesday night.

Thursday, April 17

4:06 p.m. — Parks and Recreation Director Mike Brogan reported that signs for the bike trail had been sawed off the posts and taken and the sign near the asphalt trail by Shelter A in Halfway Creek Park had been taken, but the post was intact.

Monday, April 21

5 p.m. — Police responded to a complaint on the 600 block of Amy Drive about a group of men yelling from the street outside an apartment. The men were employees of Holmen Portables, including the boss, and they were yelling vulgar things to a woman in an apartment. Police gave the men a verbal warning.

8:44 p.m. — Police responded to a noise complaint on the 600 block of Amy Drive. The complainant said people were playing very loud music and talking very loudly and they had been drinking since about 4 p.m. A female resident was given several verbal warnings throughout the night.

Tuesday, April 22

4:36 p.m. — A 55-year-old woman on the 1000 block of Main Street reported there were kids throwing rocks at her house. Police delivered a verbal warning to a juvenile.

Wednesday, April 23

7:50 a.m. — An employee of Evergreen Elementary reported someone had stolen aluminum cans for recycling overnight around 10:30 p.m.

1:14 p.m. — A 10-year-old boy was cited for disorderly conduct for bringing a .357 magnum bullet to the Family & Children’s Center. When he was asked why be brought a bullet to school, he said, “It was better than bringing a gun.”

11:57 p.m. — Police conducted a welfare check after someone reported a very intoxicated woman sitting in the street on the 100 block of State Street. She was taken to her home on Highway D.

Thursday, April 24

12:54 a.m. — Police assisted the Holmen Area Fire Department with a man on the 200 block of Flora Court who was having chest pains.

1:50 p.m. — A woman from Arkansas called Holmen Police to complain about an eBay purchase made from a Holmen resident on the 100 block of North Holmen Drive. The man sold her tires and wheels, but when she received them, they were not as described. She paid $1,955 plus $414 in shipping. She tried to ship them back, but he would not pick them up from UPS.

Friday, April 25

8:05 a.m. — An employee at Viking Elementary reported someone had stolen the aluminum cans from the recycling bin sometime overnight. The bin had been almost full when the cans were stolen.

1:52 p.m. — A 37-year-old woman reported a peeping tom. She said a man had come twice before late at night looking into her bedroom window on the 900 block of Linden Drive.

Sunday, April 27

11:50 a.m. — Three juveniles were given a verbal warning for destroying the yard of someone on the 3300 block of Cedar Avenue South. They were pulling up a metal fence post and trying to throw it onto Highway 53. They also pulled up trees. The boys were turned over to father of one of the boys.

6:42 p.m. — A 48-year-old woman reported someone had broken into her home while the family was away on Saturday. A screen from one of the bedrooms was missing and a Nintendo 64, two controllers and eight games were stolen.

Tuesday, April 22

7:38 a.m. — Fire call on the 900 block of 12th Avenue South for an alarm activation.

Wednesday, April 23

8:35 a.m. — Fire call on the 500 block of Spruce Street that turned out to be a false alarm.

12:28 p.m. — First responder call on Quincy Street for a person with a possible broken arm.

10:03 p.m. — First responder call on 13th Avenue South for a person with a diabetic problem.

Thursday, April 24

6:44 a.m. — First responder call on East Avenue North for a person having a seizure.

8:41 a.m. — First responder call on Rudy Street for a person with a dislocated hip.

2:14 p.m. — First responder call on Highway 35 for a person with an unknown medical problem.

6:25 p.m. — First responder call on 11th Avenue South for a person who possibly overdosed.

11:13 p.m. — First responder call on Hilltopper Drive for a person who possibly overdosed.

Friday, April 25

2:51 a.m. — Fire call on the 700 block of Sand Lake Road for a water evacuation.

11:46 a.m. — First responder call in West Salem for an unconscious person.

1:04 p.m. — First responder call on Hilltopper Road for a person who had a power tool accident.

1:39 p.m. — Fire and first responder call on Highway S for a vehicle accident with injuries.

3:23 p.m. — First responder call on Sand Lake Road for a person having a seizure.

3:47 p.m. — First responder call on Meier Lane for a child who had chemicals sprayed in the eyes.

Saturday, April 26

1:49 p.m. — Fire call on the 200 block of Fourth Avenue North for a downed power line.

1:56 p.m. — Fire call on the 300 block of Main Street for a downed power line.

9:13 p.m. — First responder call on Main Street for a person with an unknown medical problem.

Sunday, April 27

2:34 a.m. — First responder call on 13th Avenue South for a person with an unknown medical problem.

3:20 a.m. — First responder call on Crossing Meadows Drive for a person with injuries from a fight.

6:43 a.m. — Fire call on the 3100 block of Market Place for a water problem.

1:40 p.m. — Fire and first responder call on Sand Lake Road for a vehicle accident with injuries.

6:52 p.m. — First responder call on Critter Court for a person with foot pain.

2:32 p.m. — First responder call on Kristy Lane for a person with asthma.

Monday, April 28

6:59 a.m. — Fire call on Eighth Avenue and Green Street for a hazardous condition.

8:36 a.m. — First responder call on Critter Court for a person having shortness of breath.

2:43 p.m. — First responder call on 13th Avenue South for a person with abdominal pains.

4:47 p.m. — Fire and first responder call on Highway 53 and Sand Lake Road for a vehicle accident with injuries.

7:01 p.m. — First responder call on the 1000 block of Pierce Street for a person with an unknown medical problem.
