Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle is campaigning for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama this week in North Carolina.

Obama's campaign said Doyle would focus on economic issues during stops this week.

Obama won the Wisconsin primary over challenger Hillary Rodham Clinton in February. Doyle has campaigned for Obama in Wisconsin and Kansas. Obama's campaign likened North Carolina to Wisconsin, calling them both battleground states.

Doyle was in Raleigh Wednesday and Greenville, Goldsboro and Wilmington today.

North Carolina's primary is May 6.
