Shane Mauss, an Onalaska High School graduate and a rising star in the comedy world, will perform on a bill with fellow comic Tommy Thompson on Thursday, July 31, starting at 8:30 p.m. at the Ringside Bar & Grill, 223 Pearl St., La Crosse.

Since wining the Best Standup Comic Award at the 2007 HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colo., Mauss (sounds like “moss”) has made two appearances on “Late Night With Conan O’Brien” as well as touring nationally and appearing on several other TV programs.
