MERRILL, Wis. -- An error with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning allowed Onalaska to score a 6-5 victory over Beaver Dam and continue in the winners' bracket of the Class AA American Legion state tournament on Saturday.

Onalsaka's Jerry Rank scored from third when the Beaver Dam Catcher tried to pick him off for the final out of the seventh.

Pinch-hitter Zac Knutson tied the game at 5 with a two-run double to score Kyle Stewart, who was 3-for-4, and James Knutson in the bottom of the sixth.

It is Onalaska second one-run victory of the tournament, following a 10-9 first-round victory over Kaukauna on Friday.

Onalaska (28-5) plays Merill at 8 p.m. Sunday. Merrill beat Milton 5-3 late Saturday.
