The Wisconsin Better Business Bureau is warning consumers about an Internet-based company called Millennium Empire that is racking up hundreds of complaints nationwide, including several from Wisconsin consumers.

The company, based in Marietta, Ga., sells a variety of merchandise, using the Internet addresses of www.kingofswords.com, www.warhammerdirect.com, www.kingofponds.com and www.empirepets.com.

Nationwide, the BBB office in Atlanta has processed 383 complaints against this company in the past 36 months. Nine of those complainants are from Wisconsin. Of the 383 total complaints forwarded to the company, the vast majority — 322 — were unanswered.

Most of the Wisconsin complaints — eight out of 9 — were considered unanswered, too. Complainants lost an average, of $105 to the company.

For more information, log onto www.wisconsin.bbb.org or call 1-800-273-1002.
