Franciscan Skemp broke ground Wednesday for a new clinic in Holmen in partnership with Altra Federal Credit Union.

The clinic will be located at the intersection of Holmen Drive and Hale Road. Altra will have a new office in another building on the same property with a common access road.

Both building construction projects will begin this week and should be finished by early spring.

Franciscan Skemp will relocate its existing clinic behind Holmen Square to the new site, expanding from 7,500 square feet to 20,000 square feet. Altra Federal Credit Union will build a 5,000-square foot facility south of the clinic.

The clinic will provide family medicine, pediatrics and obstetrics-gynecology services, plus a pharmacy and an outreach suite to bring select specialty services to the community.

Altra's new office features a full-service lobby with the latest technology, drive-up lanes, safe deposit boxes and a 24-hour drive-up ATM. The drive-up lanes will feature TV screens that switch from the teller to news, weather and sports programming.
