Registration is now open for the Onalaska Park and Recreation Department's third season of tackle football for fifth- and sixth-graders, according to Park and Rec recreation supervisor Kraig Koelbl.
The league's parent-player orientation meeting, along with equipment and uniform fitting, will be conducted Thursday at 6 p.m. at the OmniCenter. The league again will feature the same 11-on-11 that is played at almost all levels of tackle football.
Onalaska High School head coach Dieter Antoni continues his involvement in the program. The program again hopes to play its final night of games at OHS.
Cost of the tackle program remains $100 per player, with an additional $50 deposit for equipment, which includes helmets, jersey, shoulder pads, pants and mouth guards.
