A one-week renovation will begin today at the Division of Motor Vehicles customer service center in Onalaska, and will create some temporary inconvenience for customers, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation said.
Only half of the service counters will be available during the renovation, DOT officials said. Because of that and construction noise and dust, customers may wish to postpone their visit until after Aug. 19, when the remodeling is to be complete.
Updates and upgrades including new flooring, seating and an information desk, DOT officials said, plus redesigned work stations and updated equipment.
