U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold was in La Crosse on Saturday to endorse Democratic state Senate candidate Tara Johnson, who is running against first-term Republican Sen. Dan Kapanke in the 32nd District race.
Feingold pointed to Johnson’s experience on the La Crosse County Board, bringing jobs to the area through the Lakeview Business Park and her leadership in keeping the Lakeview Medical Center as reasons for voters to support her.
“I’m endorsing Tara’s campaign for the state Senate because she has a track record of progressive leadership here in La Crosse,” Feingold said.
