Kapanke: Schools might be hit by state budget curve ball (2008/03/18)
State Sen. Dan Kapanke, R-La Crosse, gave Holmen School Board members something to worry about Monday night. Not only did he warn everyone to be wary of any unusual skin growths like he had — it was cancerous and had to be removed — he also warned that one of the alternatives being considered in Madison to help relieve the budget shortfall is to delay the state’s June payments to schools to July.
